Dr. Chuanyuan Wang is an Associate Professor of Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, working in the oil spill research field. His specialties and research interests include: development of oil spill fingerprinting and tracing technology; fate and behaviour of oil spill, ecosystem impact assessment of oil pollution, and transport and deposition of materials in estuary.
Dr. Chuanyuan Wang has continually and extensively lead and involved in various scientific projects, such as National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant No. 40806048), Special funds for president's recognition award of Chinese Academy Sciences (Grant No.AJ0809xx-035), Research Supported by the CAS/SAFEA International Partnership Program for Creative Research Teams – “Representative environmental processes and resources effects in coastal zone”, Key Projects in the Yantai Science & Technology Pillar Program (2011060), and the Key Laboratory for Ecological Environment in Coastal Areas, State Oceanic Administration (200907).
He has authored over 133 academic publications including 128 articles in the most respected journals in the environmental science and oil Geochemistry, and 8 books.
He has won a number of national scientific honors and awards such as Special funds for Excellent PHD dissertation award or president's recognition award of Chinese Academy Sciences. During 2011-2013, he successive 5 times won the formal acceptance of your candidature for the Edition of the Eni Award, which was officially established in July 2007 in order to develop innovative ideas for a better use of energy sources, promote environmental research and to valorize new generations of researchers, with the ambition to become a sort of Nobel Prize for Energy.
