Community structure, biodiversity, biomass and density, and mollusca population dynamics and its relations to climate change and anthropogenic activities, such as aquaculture, waste discharge, and coastal land reclamation;
Ecological health assessment and the ecological role of key species
We assessed the benthic ecological status and the effect of anthropogenic activities (such as marine raft culture, land reclamation) on the health of the coastal waters. And we conducted some experiments on the effects of bioturbation activity by key species of macrobenthos on oxygen and ammonium fluxes and benthic metabolism, as well as on the sediment erosion.
