The invention relates to the technical field of environment and biological analysis, and particularly relates to a reagent kit for detecting hydrogen sulfide in air by flexible on-site colorimetric detection and a detection method thereof. The reagent kit comprises a trihytdroxy methyl-aminomethane (Tis) buffer solution, a high-concentration salt solution, a nanogold solution, an injector, a standard color chart F and a colorimetric tube, wherein the nanogold solution contains nanogold reduced through a sodium citrate solution, the diameter of the nanogold is 10-50nm; the pH of the trihytdroxy methyl-aminomethane (Tis) buffer solution is 7.0-8.9, and the trihytdroxy methyl-aminomethane (Tis) buffer solution contains Tween 80 with the concentration of 0-1%; the concentration of the high-concentration salt solution is 1.0-5.0M. By using he method the hydrogen sulfide in the air can be detected simply, quickly and sensitively, the method is suitable for on-sit detection, the quick detection on the hydrogen sulfide in the air indoor workshop, and sites in which underground pipeline work, petroleum and natural gas borehole operation are performed can be realized through suitably optimizing experiment conditions.
