The invention relates to methods for detecting potassium ions, in particular to a solid contact type ion-selective electrode and preparation and application thereof. The solid contact type ion-selective electrode is characterized in that MoS2 in flower-like morphology is used as the ion-electron conduction layer of the solid contact type ion-selective electrode, and a potassium ion selective film is attached to the ion-electron conduction layer. The solid contact type ion-selective electrode has the advantages that the MoS2 in flower-like morphology is used as the conduction layer between a polymer-film and platinum-carbon electrode, the MoS2 is large in capacitance and good in electric conductivity, the prepared electrode is allowed to be good in stability and reproducibility, and accordingly the electrode is applicable to large-scale commercial production.
