Biography

Dr. Qing Wang obtained his PhD degree of marine ecology in 2010 from Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He became an assistant professor in Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research (CAS) in 2010 and he became a professor since 2020. His research interests include investigating the biological effects of coastal pollutants (especially trace metals, PAHs and EDCs) on marine invertebrates using traditional toxicology and molecular biology techniques, and screening the biomarkers used for coastal pollution monitoring. Recently, his research interest is marine microplastic pollution, focusing on the distribution, tranfer and ecological risk evaluation of microplastics in marine environment.
