The present invention relates to the field of algae inhibitor, and is especially one kind of benzene-containing cadinane derivative from algae endophytic fungi and its preparation process and application in inhibiting algae. The specific structural formula is shown in (I). The preparation method is to inoculate the seaweed endophytic fungus Trichoderma virens (Trichoderma virens) RR-dl-6-8 into a fungal culture medium for fermentation and culture. After the fermentation product is separated and purified, it is the benzene-containing cadinane derivative shown in formula (I). The microalgae inhibiting activity experiment shows that the compound has half inhibiting concentration up to 0.68 microgram/ml.
