英文摘要Oyster shells are alkaline and rich in calcium, which is a kind of high-quality conditioner for acidic soil. Oyster shell as acid soil amendment is the main way to realize the resource utilization. However, the simple soil application of oyster shell has the disadvantages of slow transformation, easy re-acidification, and cannot improve soil organic matter content. In this study, oyster shell powder was transformed through thermophilic co-composting with acidic sugar residue, or bean pulp. in different proportions (10%, 20%, 30% and 40%). The maximum percentage of oyster shell addition was determined by analyzing the physical and chemical properties during the composting process. The conversion effect of compost on oyster shells was determined by analyzing the content and morphological changes of calcitonin, and the conversion characteristics of calcium elements in oyster shells. The results showed that increasing the addition ratio of oyster shells can ensure the normal composting of sugar residue; the addition of oyster shells not only increases the temperature of the compost, resulting in the peak being reached quickly, but also improves the degree of humification of the compost. Therefore, oyster shells can be used as an excellent additive of organic solid waste compost, and this study provides a reference for realizing the resource utilization of oyster shells. © 2023, The Authors.
