The invention relates to the field of bacteriostatic agents, in particular to a chlorocyclopentenone compound derived from a seaweed endophytic fungus and a preparation method and application in bacteriostatic action thereof. The specific structural formula of the compound is shown as (I), the preparation method of the compound comprises the steps that seaweed endophytic fungus Trichoderma asperellum cf44-2 is inoculated in a fungal culture medium so as to perform fermentation cultivation, and after a fermentation product is isolated and purified, the chlorocyclopentenone compound as shown informula (I) is obtained. The obtained chlorocyclopentenone compound has the advantage of obtaining that the diameter of an inhibition zone can reach 8.5 millimeters when the compound is 20 microgram per piece through an antibacterial activity test.
