Have presided over research projects founded by NSFC, the Knowledge Innovation Program of Chinese Academy of Sciences, the CAS Strategic Priority Research Program, Eleventh Five-Year Plan Informatization Project of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and so on.

Have published more than 30 articles in international journals such as Hydrological Processes, Ecological Indicators, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, Acta Ecological Sinica, Wetlands, and Chinese journals such as Bulletin of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Advance in Water Sciences, Transactions of the Chinese Society of Agricultural Engineering, Geographical Research, Marine Sciences.

Up to June in 2013, seven students have finished their dissertations and obtained a master’s or doctoral degree, they are employed by South China Sea Branch of State Oceanic Administration, Shanghai Meteorological Bureau, Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., etc.
