英文摘要A thieno-[3,4-b]-pyrazine-based molecule, F-DTP, was designed and synthesized for application as a red emitter in non-doped organic light-emitting diodes. F-DTP was designed with thieno-[3,4-b]-pyrazine as the luminescent core and pentaphenylphenylene (i.e. polyphenyl) groups as side arms. The peripheral phenyls on the polyphenyl arms were replaced by pentafluorophenyl rings to lower the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital level and thus enhance the electron-injecting feature of F-DTP. The photophysical, thermal, and electrochemical properties were investigated. F-DTP is characterized by a large Stokes shift of 113 nm. The bulky polyphenyl groups provide a site-isolating effect on the planar emissive core and thus effectively suppress unwanted intermolecular interactions. F-DTP was used as a non-doped emitter to fabricate an organic light-emitting diode by a vacuum evaporation technique.
