AbstractA novel and easily available fluorescent probe bearing naphthalimide and thiosemicarbazide groups has been designed. The probe H1 displays high selectivity and sensitivity to Ag+ over other metal ions in aqueous media.; A novel and easily available fluorescent probe bearing naphthalimide and thiosemicarbazide groups has been designed.
